As the creative director and lead designer at Cause Lab, I created the key art for numerous shows during the 2023/2024 season at St. Ann’s Warehouse. One such show was the Life and Times of Michael K, a groundbreaking puppet show based off of J.M. Coetzee’s Booker Prize winning novel. For this show, I created a unique lockup and key art treatment meant to invoke the textures of the earth that the show’s protagonist tends as a gardener and of the wooden material used to construct the puppets in the show. I then adapted the key art across various print and digital avenues including a printed post-card, lightbox posters, window posters, subway advertisements, e-blasts and social media assets.
