Inspired by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger, this collaborative project looks at food resources in the New York City area, with a focus on the Free Community Fridges found around Brooklyn. The work included field research to visit, document, and map all of the local community fridges. From there, we designed a sustainable bag that could be placed in the fridges which would hold donations as well as a printed map with the locations of other nearby fridges. The bag also had instructions on the back for how to use food scraps to make your own paint which could be used to color in the bag when you were finished using it.
